Back From TechEd

So, back after a week at TechEd in Atlanta.
Always a great experience, and this year was no exception.
For those IT people, who sit on the fence and have considered going before, but never have, let me give you a five reasons why you should book for next year.

The People: meet 10,000 like-minded professionals

The Event: you will be frustrated you can’t fit it all in. There are 100’s of sessions, some you’ll see in person, some you’ll catch up on later online, but the main reason for going.

The Technology: be on the leading edge of what’s coming out soon, or how to get the most out of what’s already out there. You’ll always come away having learned more than you thought.

Product Groups: Get to speak to the people that write the products, or experts in their field that use them. Ask them questions, bug them, and generally get the most out of the fact you can have 1:1 time with people that are only too happy to take time out to listen to you and answer your questions.

Social Experience: there’s always something to do. Whether its just a general mingle over a beer on the welcome night, or a meal out with friends, this adds a great dimension to any week. Plenty of networking opportunities here too!

And there’s so much more, you just have to experience it to get a true idea.

Next year we have TechEd Europe in Amsterdam w/c 25th June 2012, and TechEd North America 2 weeks later in Orlanda, Florida.

Question is: which one(s) will you go to?
My diary is already booked in.

Now, about that jetlag …..zzz
